Built for a family returning to Bikaner after two generations abroad, Courtyard House is arranged around a single open room — a shaded court of jaisalmer stone that gathers the household through the day and cools the rooms around it through the year.

The plan is deliberately slow. Long thresholds separate the public rooms from the private wings. Timber louvers, drawn from local haveli precedent, filter the desert light into a soft, moving pattern that changes the interior mood between morning and evening.
